إلى الأمم المتحدة، وإلى وكالاتها الإنسانية، وإلى المنظمات الدولية المدافعة عن حقوق الأطفال وكبار السن، وإلى الدول الكبرى المؤثرة في العالم..

نكتب إليكم من مدينة عدن، حيث يعيش ملايين البشر تحت ظروف إنسانية قاسية تتفاقم يومًا بعد يوم نتيجة الانقطاع الطويل والمتكرر للتيار الكهربائي، بالتزامن مع ارتفاع درجات الحرارة والرطوبة إلى مستويات مرهقة وخطيرة.

في المنازل التي تحولت إلى أفران خانقة، يقضي الأطفال ساعات طويلة تحت وطأة الحر الشديد، فيما يواجه كبار السن والمرضى، خصوصًا المصابين بأمراض الجهاز التنفسي والكلى والقلب، ظروفًا بالغة الصعوبة تهدد صحتهم وسلامتهم. وتشهد المستشفيات والمرافق الصحية ضغوطًا متزايدة، بينما تعاني الأسر من عجزها عن توفير بدائل للتبريد أو مصادر مستقرة للطاقة.

إن معاناة السكان لم تعد مجرد أزمة خدمات، بل أصبحت قضية إنسانية تمس الحق في الحياة والصحة والكرامة الإنسانية. آلاف الأطفال ينامون في ظروف لا تليق بالبشر، وعائلات بأكملها تقضي لياليها في الشوارع والساحات العامة هربًا من حرارة المنازل المغلقة.

إننا نناشدكم التحرك العاجل لتقييم الوضع الإنساني في عدن والمحافظات المجاورة، وتقديم الدعم اللازم للقطاعات الخدمية والصحية، والضغط من أجل إيجاد حلول عاجلة ومستدامة تخفف معاناة المدنيين وتحمي الفئات الأكثر ضعفًا.

هذه ليست قضية سياسية، بل صرخة إنسانية من أجل الأطفال والمرضى وكبار السن الذين يدفعون ثمن الأزمات المستمرة.

Urgent Humanitarian Appeal to the United Nations, International Organizations, and Defenders of Children’s and Elderly Rights

To the United Nations, its humanitarian agencies, international human rights organizations, child protection institutions, elderly care advocates, and the world’s leading nations:

We write to you from Aden, where millions of civilians are enduring increasingly severe humanitarian conditions caused by prolonged electricity outages combined with extreme heat and humidity.

Homes have become unbearable environments. Children spend long hours exposed to dangerous temperatures, while elderly people and patients suffering from respiratory, kidney, heart, and chronic illnesses face growing health risks every day. Many families lack the financial means to secure alternative sources of power, cooling, or medical support.

The situation has gone beyond a service crisis. It has become a humanitarian emergency affecting the fundamental rights to life, health, dignity, and protection. Families are being forced to spend nights outdoors in streets and public spaces seeking relief from the intense heat trapped inside their homes.

Healthcare facilities are struggling under increasing pressure, while vulnerable groups face the greatest burden. Children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses are paying the highest price for conditions beyond their control.

We respectfully urge the United Nations, humanitarian agencies, donor countries, and international organizations to assess the humanitarian situation urgently, support essential services and healthcare systems, and help facilitate immediate and sustainable solutions that protect civilian lives and reduce suffering.

This is not a political appeal. It is a humanitarian call on behalf of children, patients, and elderly people whose voices often go unheard.
